Dr. Karen Mahlmeister was born and raised in
her career she was an international flight attendant and then worked in
sales on Wall Street.
In 1986, Dr. Karen ran the New York City Marathon and injured her knee. After seeing four NYC specialists, she finally found relief with a chiropractor. Chiropractic care proved to be so beneficial she decided to become a chiropractor.
In 1994, after graduating from chiropractic school in
Dr. Karen combines chiropractic and acupuncture. There are over 30 types of acupuncture treatments. Dr. Karen uses the electric stimulation method. This technique requires no piercing of the skin and is painless. Chiropractic/acupuncture helps to decrease/eliminate neck, mid back and shoulder pain. It also helps low back pain known as sciatica. Headaches and migraines are also reduced or eliminated.
She treats babies to seniors. The youngest patient was days old and suffered with colic. The oldest patient was over 100 years of age, so it’s never too late to start to care. An important factor the doctor would like people to realize is that you do not have to live with pain; chiropractic and acupuncture are great alternatives.
